Couple of questions
I am going to buy a Shuttle when funds allow (SK41G (see other thread in Bargain Hunt for request of cheapest place to buy!!))
I am planning on mainly using it in my bedroom as my Divx/MP3/general media PC and maybe a bit of MSN and web browsing (TV has SVideo input of excellent quality). I am also planning on using just a simple Duron 1.3/1.4 or something with 256MB of DDR (Am I right in assuming it takes DDR?), and sticking an old 4GB hard disk in. Will this be an OK setup, not designed for games? Is the TV out of the onboard graphics of fairly decent quality, and ditto with the digital sound outputs?
This is my first time dealing with Shuttles so I appreciate all the advice I can get!

I wouldn't rely on the sound outputs or onboard t.v out on an sk41, if you want good onboard sound you need to go for the SN41/45 and a cheap card like a GF2/4 with a t.v out.
Other than that the set up you have in mind should be fine.

If I really don't like the sound I can just add a cheap SB Live into one of the PCI slots, can I not? Ditto with the graphics card as you said? :) Except I'd probably get a cheap ATI card, their TV output is better :p
One more question, what sort of quiet CPU cooler should I buy if I get one? Something that doesn't cost a lot preferably!
Thanks Knoxy :p

They have built in heat pipe coolers ... they attach to the back of the case!

yeh you just need to change the fan in the standard one for a papst or noise blocker for extra quietness :)
