    200mhz @ 2-3-2-5 or 250mhz @ 3-4-4-8

Im trying to decide on running ocz 2x1gb platinum kits at 200mhz @2-3-2-5 or corsair value select @3-4-4-8. I know they are not exactly in the same league but i've just got a stick of value select with samsung uccc chips.

Which would provide better performance at the two different speeds?

don't think you'll get the value select running at 250mhz ....lol. You might get the OCZ at the frequency if you slacken the timings though.

    Cheaper to buy the valueselect?

Most CL2 1GB sticks can't run high frequency at any timing, so you can only choose frequency or CL, but not both, for the same stick.
