External SATA Enclosures?

I need an external SATA enclosure for my Maxtor DM10 300Gb SATA drive. I'm looking for an eSATA one that also has USB2.0 and a built in powersupply.

looks great, but I can't find it in the UK or rest of Europe

Anyone have any other recommendations for similar enclosures (or if you know where I can buy the above in Europe?)

Scan have got a bunch of different external boxes in different configurations.

I don't think any of theirs are the same as that one though. The IcyDock ones all have external power bricks and i don't think they do a SATA to eSATA + USB. but drop them an email, they might be able to find something for you.

My A8N-SLIs got backplane which you can connect extend the internal SATA cables outside the computer. They're just a simple extender. I used those with Icybox with my Seagate 300Gs and they work as if they're inside the computer

Icybox do make USB one (and even IDE->SATA+USB) and they're not at all expensive.

The only trouble is, the Maxtor 300G draws a very high current which some of the enclosures will not be able to handle it. A guy I knew put his DM10 250G into an external box and the power brick kinda exploded, of course killing his harddrive together. My very own 300G Maxtor IDE (Ordered the wrong one by mistake ) cannot be powered up by my IDE->USB enclosure, it couldn't spin up as the power brick keep dropping the voltage due to high load.
