o.k i'm looking to do a cheep upgrade, (was going to be just the gfx card but i cant find a cheep agp) i'm thinking or geting this gfx card to replace my 2-3 year old 9800 pro and this mainboard to replace my mis k8n neo plat mainbaord, any thoughts and opinions on them

The board is PCI-E and AGR (limited AGP support) so it should be OK.
But, it would probably be wiser to move to socket 939 now while your buying a new motherboard. Socket 754 is pretty dated and some 939 CPUs are under £100 now.

to be honest id keep your motherboard and get an agp card instead of spending £175+ on a new mobo and gfx. Overclockers.co.uk are doing an asus x800xt platinum edition agp card for £187 this week - include postage and it'll b nearer £200 - but it'll b twice as fast as the x800gt and you'd have spent near enough that anyway for the pci-e motherboard and gfx card (incl p+p).
Pci-e and agp are the same performance wise as well its just pci-e is futureproofed, but not on a socket 754 mainboard! If thats too expensive you can get a 6800gt or an x800xl agp for around £180 - just search around.

performance wize would this be any better then the x800gt, realy looking for a cheap upgrade
dabs value pcie x800xl... I think that's the cheapest kick ass card you can get at the mo
do you have a budget? only you doubled the price og the graphics card
the asrock uli 1695 socket 939... I think that is about £50 with other manufacturers following along shortly I suspect (EDIT: which has full speed AGP & PCIe x16 so you could move to this mainboard later and upgrade just your AGP graphics at this point in time then switch to PCIe 7800gtx / ati 520 class graphics later. ULi is as fast as NF4 but imo the upgrade options are better.)

If you shop around, for £300, you could get a decent s939 board and an x800xl and maybe even a 6800 ultra.
Changing the motherboard now will have negligable effect on gaming and simply eat into your budget. 754 3400+ is a very good chip so I'd just get a faster AGP graphics card then move to a ULi mainboard when you want to upgrade the rest of the system. The AGP x800xt pe mentioned already is the way to go imo. AGP is not a bottleneck and neither is it a dead end upgrade if you go ULi in the future. I will be looking at ULi myself coming from nForce2 so I can retain my AGP 9800pro for a while longer... my sim type games could use more CPU power but the graphics is OK.
SLI & Crossfire = extra heat, noise & higher electric bills non of which I want.
