Hello,

I purchased a Shuttle based on the FT62 Mainboard and it worked fine - for a few weeks.

I was trying to synchronize my PPC after loading ActiveSynch. There were a few problems recognizing the device, but after a reboot or two it was synching the system.

During this, the fan kicked-on high and the LCD (XP17) went blank. The system was frozen and I turned it off, noting no HDD activity at the time.

Now, when I turn the system on, the fan goes to high, then lower and the boot process begins.
First the display shows the presence of a Pentium $, 3.0 GHz.
The memory is checked to 490496K (ok) with 323M shared. This takes quite a bit of time, however. Minutes.
If I try to enter set-up the memory check ends, the system displays, "Entering Setup", but it never does.
At the bottom of the screen displays Hyper-Threading CPU detected.
There is HDD activity when the system is first powered, but not after.

I have tried the CMOS reset with power off (unplugged), although I just pushed the button and see in other messages here that it might need to be held-down for 10 sec.

Any suggestions?
