Ive got a Jeantech 450watt here, specs :

+3.3V = 30A, +5V 45A +12V 22A

Im asuming this will be ok for now.

Inthe future I was looking at a modular PSU, particuarly the Tagen 580Watt Modular but this seems to have poor power outputs on the rails, I then saw the 480Watt Antec neopower the new one with the ATX2 spec and this seemed much better on the rails, I always assumed the neo power wasnt that good and the Tagen was better, from this it looks likethe tagen isnt much cop?
Or am I looking at the wrong things?

Basically you're looking at 21A on your phase1 setup and 33A on your phase2 setup.

Tagan 530 would be enough for that setup. Im sure a lot will agree with me?

yeah, 530 would be fine, until the extra 7800gtx comes in, id say go for the 580 version, or better the enermax noisetaker 600w, which is the best all round psu at the moment

The Tagen has 20 / 20 on the 12v rail so will that be enough? The antec only has 18 /15 on the 12v rail, however the Antec seems better on the 3.3 and 5v lines, do these rails matter as much?

Looks like the PC Power & Cooling is the one for me, the 510 rating should be ok for SLI yea? looks like it peaks at 650 watt anyhow, anyone know of any uk suppliers?
Also will the Jeantech be ok in the meantime?

The Tagan EasyCon 580 will see you into an SLi setup easily and it has shielded connectors which while a little bulky in the case are pretty solid and easy to manipulate. The PC Power & Cooling is a real heavyweight in every sense but bear in mind it doesn't have an intake fan above the CPU so if you have trouble exhausting hot air from your system you should stick with the Tagan, or the OCZ Modstream which is pretty much the same unit with different connectors and silver foil as opposed to black braided cables. Both are extremely quiet.

Technically you shouldn't use a PSU to exhaust hot air from the processor but rather give it cold air of it's own but I've yet to see the Tagan have a problem with this (for comparison I'm running 3 x Pioneer 109s, an Audigy 2 ZS, 2GB Xpert DDR, 4 x 74GB Raptors and 2 x 6800GTs from here with no strain at all and good rails within tight tolerance. It also has the ability to run Dual 12v rails or a single combined load.

I'd say if you really want to bulletbroof yourself buy the PC Power one; if you need one right now get the Tagan. Personally I'd avoid the Silenx as I had the personal pleasure of seeing mine die two years ago, unable to cope with an English summer despite the fact I have a well-cooled case. The damn thing just burnt itself out, unable to cope with it's own heatload which is pretty pathetic.

For a setup thats gonna cost that much: PCP&C 510 SLi will be the best.

Amazingly stable PSU's backed up with a full rtb manufactorers warranty (I think it includes component damage)

You can buy direct from their website but bear in mind that they'll charge 25% of the PSU's cost for courier shipping which will cost you around £153 all in. Bear in mind the courier will pay any custom charges levied and then send the invoice to you later (Fedex will charge you around a tenner for that service) so be prepared to pay another £30 or £40 if worst comes to worst. Ebay has a few from time to time (some at ludicrous prices) but aside from that I don't know where to get one in the UK I'm sorry to say
