Question RAM - Tight Timings & Stock Voltage

I need to get hold off some RAM that'll run PC3200 2-2-2-5~7 but it has to do it @ 2.5V!!!

It's to go in my MZ855-II but it's got no voltage adjustmenst for anything!!!

    Anyone got any ideas???

    Cheers

pretty tough m8... these babies usually need ~2.70V to get them going.. 2.5V is a little pushing it..

If its DDR333 then 2-2-2-5 is pretty damn easy.
Else you might need to get some TCCD memory.
Another method is to get a OCZ DDR Booster which allow you to set voltage up to 4V?

Agreed - TCCD usually does best between 2.7-2.9v.

    Why 2.5v may I ask??

TCCD doesn't need high voltages to operate. 2.7v+ are only used when you're overclocking them to high clockspeeds. And even then it's not always necessary.

My Patriot 1gig kit of TCCD runs 200MHz 2-2-2-5 with 2.6v. I haven't tried 2.5v because my motherboard won't go that low, but I'd be surprised if it didn't work.

I bit the bullet the other day and ordered some Crucial Ballistix PC3200
It arrived this morning, so i chucked it in and gave it a quick test

    To my surprise it works flawlessly @ 200MHz 2-2-2-5 @ 2.5v

I'm well impressed, lower SuperPi scores here i come
