    Shuttle not booting

I've just built a Shuttle SN45G V3 and it works fine, however when I plug in my printer and scanner via USB cables the Shuttle will not boot, it just comes up with the first BIOS screen and sometimes states the CPU, sometimes it doesn't, but it will sit there and do nothing. It does boot, but only after about 15 minutes (no exaggeration).

I am assuming that for some reason it is looking to the USB to boot, I have looked in the BIOS but don't really know what I'm looking for. Any advice and suggestions would be much appreciated.

In the bios go into the "advanced Bios Features" section.
Look at the first second and third boot device.
    Here's how mine looks like:
    first: Floppy
    second: CD rom
    Third: Hard drive.

    Hope that helps.

This is how mine is set. I have just had a bit of a play with it and figured out that it's the scanner that is casuing this, the scanner is USB powered. I have unplugged the cable from the back of the scanner and just plug it back in when it's needed. Seems to work ok, but a bit annoying!!

Have you tried putting a powered USB hub between the scanner and the PC, might allow you to leave it plugged in all the time. Either that or as you said, jus t plug it in when you use it.
