Looking to put a couple of gigs of memory in an office pc most of the memory is cas3 will i be losing out or does it not make much difference in light office work?

The real world difference will so very small the only place it will show is in benchmarks.
the cas latency on the old athlon xps seemed to matter alot more than it does on the athlon 64's. The newer architecture doesnt suffer as much of a performance hit when you lower latencies on the memory. Then again these new cpus arent bandwidth constrained like the athlon xp's were. What matters with 64's are pure highest GHz obtained by either upping the htt or the cpu multi. Either way its good.
On an office pc, you wont even notice the difference
