    PSU cables

    hi all,
as i'm not too good when it comes to hardware, i have a quick question to ask.
do all PCI-e gfx cards require a dedicated cable from the psu? do only high end cards require one? does it depend on the power from the psu?
    thanks.

Hi, All high end pci-e graphics cards such as 7800's need a dedicated cable from the psu (think they are 4 pin molex).

Cards such as 6600/GT or less dont need them, they run of the power from the pci-e port.
