Just a cheap nasty mod with the SVC800Cu.
Cost me less than 8 quids. Bad thing is it blocked my USB2.0 ports

    Temperature at 42'C semi-passive now.

    Thats a Quality Mod

Zalman do a nice big passive Northbridge cooler you can get from overclockers.co.uk

The only heat pipe northbridge cooler i recall seeing was on either a Gigabyte or Asus MB, could try and get a "blown" motherboard with one on or get one as a spare part

I think its on the asus a8nsli premium.

This is a major problem for me made worse by the fact Gigabyte have kindly positioned it so the video card has about 1cm of clearance.

Akasa have a cheap £4 fan, but I imagine any heatisnk that fits will do.
silenx do a fan thats 1cm high.

So basically a cheap remake of the ZF700Cu! Yeah I'm looking for a passive northbridge, found this but I have yet to see anyone stock it.

Cooler Master Blue Ice II (RT-UCL-L4U1)

    Information

It's got a small fan in side but that can be easily removed using the four screws on top. I've read one or two reviews so I'm not sure if it's new, uses heatpipe technology so it's a first for an aftermarket northbridge cooler. Looks like a good design if you have the room on your board, better than the Zalman.

I've e-mailed Coolermaster to see if they can tell me a Uk stockist.

Not clicked on the link for the DFI forums but who makes that northbridge?

Don't say he made that himself?!?!
