    SATA or SATA2

I've got an ABit NF7-S version 2 and am looking for a little more hard drive space.

Its a while since I dipped my toes into the world of harddrives and I see the latest thing is SATA2.

I was wondering if this would work (looking at the Samsung) on my old abit board.I guess it would run at SATA speeds. Before I buy it I want to make sure that my mobo will be able to handle it.

Anybody out there with an ABit NF7-S running a SATA 2 drive particuarly the Samsung Spinpoint P120S 200gb

    ta

Cant see the nf7. whats the exact model number?

There is a question somewhere on the boards which looks at backwards compatibility.

The answer appears to be they are backward compatible.
