Question How do I find the cheapest price?

    Hi there,
Wondered if anybody could help me through the maze that is "price comparison" sites? I want to buy a 6600GT for a build I want to try, and I want to find the cheapest. I have tried various sites but some have some etailers with some blatantly obvious ones missing. Kelkoo seems a nightmare, and pricegrabber not much better.
Can anybody please recommend an all encompassing site which will find me the cheapest card?

    Thats all.

Organise from lowest to highest, and put a reasonable low price, like £50, so you don't get lots of cheap accociated accessories.

You are joking right? No offence to scan (I do order a lot from them) but their prices on graphics are not very good at all, even with free postage using the hexus offer.

As for pricing sites, froogle is alright but it doesn't cover nearly as many sites as some of the others. I use it however, along with computerprices.co.uk which has already been mentioned. Half the time however I find it cheaper just browsing the major sites (ebuyer, savastore, dabs, tekheads). Doesn't take much time as long as the site has a good filter system. Or google something like "cheapest 6600GT" using the Uk search. Just pays to keep looking, oh yes and if you have the cash in your hand ready to go, be sure to check out the offer pages.

    Mort,

    Take your pick! Only joking.

Have checked your shop offers. Do you have a brand other than Asus or Aopen as they are known to be quite expensive?

XFX is my own card manufacturer of choice... although Asus would come pretty high as well...

No company can be the cheapest for everything, I find ebuyer and scan generally have good prices, but you are often likely to find something cheaper somehwere else. Best thing to do is just search ever damn site you know, I find the automatic searches are good but often miss stuff out.
Isn't there a site with links to all the special offers , I would quite like to find that again.

    Yeah...ahem

I am also currently price hunting in anticipation for the November cash injection. Can you consider bundle offers that far in advance Mort? Or do you want requests just a week ahead?
