Alright! Tagan Challenge.. 2Force or EasyCon?

I've always been interested to know... which is better?

We're all humble minions to the Tagan feud, as reliable as their PSUs are.. just wondering whether the reliability between these siblings have any difference?

And yes, I know EasyCon is modular..

the easycon has 120mm fan (bottom mounted) and modular connections, the 2force afaik has 2 80mm (front and back) and fixed connections. internally regarding quality they are probably equal

Think they are virtually identical save for the modular aspect.
Minor differences I can see are:

*modular
+3.3v = 26a
+5v = 30a

2force
+3.3v = 28a
+5v = 48a

(12v both same at 2 x 20a)

*cables for hdd and fdd are different between the two

*the modular is 1db higher at highest fan speed

Am not bored enough yet to look for any more differences...

edit (and the 2x =80mm fans for 2 force vs 1 x 120mm fan for the modular as mentioned above)

iirc the 2force is meant to be the better PSU for overclocking stability (something to do with the cable construction of the Easycon) whilst the Easycon is obviously neater.

My mates had both of these and both have provided him with solid RAILs. I'd go for the 2Force as the resistance produced by the modular connections would hinder power flo

I have an EasyCon (until I can find something more permanent) and it works well enough with very slight deviation from the rails while under a fairly heavy load. It's well constructed, extremely quiet and the modular design is well executed. Well, most of it: the two primary Molex leads and the PCI-E leads have these huge ferrite cores as well as shielded cables and in any standard case layout odds are good that your PCI-E cards and primary hard drives will be opposite one another. All of a sudden you find your case very crowded which is ironic given the very nature of modular cables And I have a CM110 which is a pretty respectable case and all I see is a mass of black cables. I can post a pic tonight if you'd care to see what I mean. Personally I like the build I like the quality but I don't think it's as well thought out as it could be.

I have an EasyCon as well, was looking to 2Force and found them to be a tad more expensive compared to their EasyCon siblings.. Just wondering why the price difference thats all, since their specs are almost identical..

My mate has jsut got ane asycon and i must say it is extremly nice. Personally the cable saving space is worth it imo

Where are you getting your prices?

Scan's & Overclockers have the 2force cheaper than Easycon (although I noticed at Kustom that the 530W Easycon is cheaper than 530W 2Force).

I got mine from Overclock.. before 2force went on a 10% discount, they were a tad bit more expensive.. 61 quid *easycon* to 66 quid *2force* (ex VAT) for the 530W

my 2 force is nice, its all i can say lol (obviously it has not given me any worry lol)

I got the EasyCon for the simple reason the internals are pretty bare and I have a nice big window (One HDD, One Optical Drive, Graphics and FDD)

The PCI-E cable is pretty diffuclt to flex but with some careful jiggery pokery it doesn't look too bad.

Before a Bit Of Tidying

This was done in an hour before I had to run to work so it was a bit of a rush job and still a work in progress but for me it definately has to be the EasyCon.
