Help needed
Looking for a new system, got about £1.5k to spend. Friend is helping to spec it out already, but he's a lush (lov ya Nox) and would like to have some other advice in case there's something he or I might have over looked.
I play online games, currently Everquest and more than likely something like it in the future, or possibly Vanguard's Saga of Heroes, so I'm looking for something that will give me around 2.5-3 years decent gaming before i need to mess around with it too much. As a guide I like raiding so it needs to be able to handle the 50 million people all in one spot casting spells trying to kill a single dragon type thing, and as I'm usually the healer, I'd like to be able to watch the fight for a change rather than have my head in a wall to reduce the strain on my system :)
I also use my pc to watch movies, listen to /store music and do work on. (work is pretty minimal though :)).
So, I'm also looking for that 1.5k to include a decent TFT monitor, 19".
Also, we've been having a debate about the sound card, I like my music and not only store stuff on as mp3s, but also direct play CDs and so forth. For the last7-8 years I've been used to having a seperate sound card so that i get a decent sound out, but there is this other opinion that these days the onboard sound is ok, so what would think on that?
so anyway, all help, suggestions and opinion's are welcome, but I reserve the right to ignore them all :)
Oh, also, as I'll be ordering the bits and then building it, and this'll be my first time ever, it needs to be straightforward :), i have no clue on stuff like overclocking and the like. (at least, not yet :)
Thanks in advance for any help :)

I hasten to add, she runs two games at the same time...
and components ideally need to have a 3 year warranty.

Oh, don't need a printer either, cordless keyboard/mouse is probably desirable if there's a decent set out (getting fed up of all the wires on the desk now)
