Short term upgrade advice

Currently have the following

MOBO Asus A7V8X
CPU Barton 2500
Ram 2x512 Geil 3200ddr
Graphics ATI 9800pro
HD Samsung Spinpoint
Sound Audigy 2


Rig is mainly used for gaming, but is getting a tad hot and noisy when I really push it

Basically want to do a cheap upgrade, was thinking of an ASrock ULi 1695 as I could keep my current graphics. Could I use my current RAM, and add another gig? Also whats a good budget <£100 CPU to shove in it. Last question, would like a quiet cooler any advice??

Keep current RAM - check.
Add another gig - check. May have to run at 2T if using all 4 slots.

Venice 3000+.
The stock cooler isn't at all bad, you may wish to try that first. Freezer 64 is cheapish & quiet.
