All,
Im ready to oc my pc using the 2500 Barton and OCZ 3700 Dual memory.
In the screen where a user can change their External Clock and Multiplier, there are these two options:
CPU FSB/DRAM ratio
CPU INTERFACE
What do you guys recommend I use?

fsb 200
multiplier 11.5
may have to up the v core a little to increase stability
use the soft menu
I was really asking what options shall I go for for example "AUTO" "use SPD" etc
FSB/DRAM set to 6:6, and for the mem timings if its 200x11.5 u do go for "try" 11-2-2-2 if it doesnt work, 11-3-2-2. If anyone questions why i say 11 its cause its the best timings for nforce2 boards.

Not to hijack your thread or anything but I'd also be interested in seeing what other people have there bios set at on the NF7-S rev 2.0 and for Korky in particular why those settings he mentions are the best. Thanks

6/6 is slightly better for overclocking (it shouldnt be, but it is :\)
set the interface to enabled - gives you more performace, but can just push your hardware that little too much if its allready on the edge.
If your having problems using any of the multis 9->10.5 when using a high FSB and your using anything above the first initial BIOS, its a known issue.
Spritzup i read around alot and its shown that timings at 11-2-2-2 on an nforce2 board give better sandra memory marks etc.

This 11-2-2-2 timing, what is the 11? I had mine on 5, and it seemed Ok. Lower or higher is better?
lower is generally better. left most digit makes least performace diff, while the right most makes the most (which is the CAS), i have read a few times that 5-2-2-2 is too low for nf2 boards and will be slightly slower than 6-2-2-2, but 6-2-2-2 is faster than 11-2-2-2 afaik. i run mine at 7-3-3-2.5 as higher FSB makes a lot more differnce than the timings i would have at 6-2-2-2.
yo silent, 11-2-2-2 does result in better bandwidth rating in all the programs it may seem silly at first but its not just cause 6 is lower than 11, the precharge can be better at 11 and for some funny reason it is for nforce2 boards, check xtremesystem.org and you see they recommend 11-2-2-2 and their forums have some of the most experienced overclockers in the world.

7-3-3-2.5 is still faster than 11-3-3-2.5, i have tested, so, it doesnt really matter for me, and the first digit (11) makes almost unnoticable difference, its not even worth the effort to restart to change it...
ye but 11-3-3-2.5 isnt 11-2-2-2, the 11 combo works noticibly under tight timings.
