Just thought if I could plug the 4 pins from the 24 pin ATX power to the 4 pin aux?

Well, pretty silly question.. I've got a Tagan modular PSU and they have their 24 pin ATX separated by a groove which leaves a 20 and a 4 pin.. I thought maybe is it possible to use that 4 pins as the auxiliary power (the 4 pin aux power socket) or is that a terrible no no?

Just trying to use less cables as my aux is currently powered by another 4 pin P4 cable..

Apparently the pins on the end of the 24 pin ATX connector are +12v, GND, +12v and 3.3v.

The 4 pin auxilliary connector is 12v, GND, 12v, GND

Also, it looks like you wouldn't be able to fit it, as it has a subtly different socket shape... look inside the actual individual sockets.

Good idea though!
