    Silenx Ixtrema 120mm airflow direction

Just bought one, liking it very much, apart from when I came to direct it so it blows through my xp-120. The back says to aim the label (not a directional arrow, just a company logo label) towards where I want the air to go, but, there's a label on each side of the bugger.

So, what I need you lovely people to tell me, is, generally, what direction does a fan spin when it's blowing air away from you, clockwise or anti-clockwise?

I've mailed Silenx, but I thought I'd get a faster response here

All SilenX fans have a piece of plastic on one side and not the other - its like a support.

The air is being blown towards it from the other side of the fan. (anti clockwise)

Gets me all the time when I'm changing fans and this is an easy way to remember

edit: 4 mins response aint bad either

    Awesome, lol, cheers dude.

By bit of plastic, do you mean the four bars connecting the rim of the cradle to the center?

    Cheers, hehe.

I just got a reply from the Silenx team, and it's so unhelpful

    "HI harry

it in like that need anymore help email me or call me at 562 2521531 thanks"

would that have helped you? I know it wouldn't have me.

That would require my face being in my computer, and my CPU without a fan, lol.

I have tried many a time when my brain has left me to see which way my fans are running and each time, sticking a finger in has never worked, although usually after some late night gaming session thats what I do to make sure I haven't put my fans in the wrong way. I usually go to bed after that. hmmm.

I've now learn't when I'm not that tired to try it and use a bit of bog roll - wave it in front and it it flys towards it you know the direction, if it blows away you know the direction and if it does nothing then politely ask me to remove my finger :/
