CPU-Z says my memory is at 157.3 MHz!

The board is an Asus A8V Deluxe and the memory is 4 x 512 PC3200 GEIL.

Am I correct to assume it should read 200.0 MHz?

Any ideas please?

Have you got the system over/undeclocked?
Can you show the rest out the CPU-Z output?

Your FSB/DRAM Ratio is CPU/14, to run at 200Mhz it should be CPU/11. Have you changed your BIOS memory settings ? or does your mobo automatically slow down your memory when you use fill all 4 memory slots.
Try taking out two sticks of memory and see what happens

When using all 4 RAM slots on a Winchester, the memory divider will automatically be set to 166. This is because of a bug in the memory controller of winchesters, which was fixed in the venice core. Not sure if there's a fix for it, but you could try manually setting the memory divider to 200.

Thanks. I've manually changed the "Memoclock Mode" to limit and set the "Memclock to CPU ratio" as [2:1 (DDR400)]. CPU-Z now displays memory timings as frequency = 200.3 MHz and FSB-DRAM = CPU/11.

Count yourself lucky then, because not all winchesters were capable of DDR400 with all slots filled. But make sure you do some stability testing though, i.e. memtest86 and superpi, to make sure that the memory controller can handle it.


Also, you're unfortunately going to be stuck with a command rate of 2T. But since 1T only gives a small percent improvement (less than 10%) you shouldn't worry about it.
