    Dual Channel

My mate has 1 512 stick of corsair 3200 XMSXLPRO and only has 3 slots, if he wanted to add some more ram, would u recommend buying 2 more 512 sticks or 1 gig stick and another 512 stick? What that influence speed which ever path he took?

    thanks

Depends if his motherboard will support 1gb sticks, and what he wants to do with it - 512mb sticks oc better.

Not entirely, Nforce 2 boards have 3 slots and dual channel happens in DIMM 1 and 3. I have one running at home.. Get 2 x 512 sticks.. should eliminate any problems relating to compatibility and will allow you to clock better at 1:1.

2GB is abit overrated, I only need 4 slots filled when I play BF2 and running some workstation programs.. other programs really see negligible difference.
    Me want Ultrabook
