~£200 - which mobo case & PSU

Upgrading my work rig out of a shuttle into a normal case...

Got a A64 3500+, HDD, RAM & DVDRW, 9700Pro

Silence is my priority

Mobo:
s939 obviously
dont care about OCing ability
AGP!! (Not PCIExpress)
prefer a decent amount of USB ports + free headers
Maybe mATX if there are any good ones?

PSU - silence is main concern here.

Case - Not fussed over brand, smaller hte better really as I run very little components, nice alu maybe?

Budget is flexible a little way, Id prefer not to go way over tho.

Why do you move out of a Shuttle if you're not upgrading anything?

There are a good few boards you could go for here:

If you wanted a NF3 board then the Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra maybe okay, but the chipset is cooled by a fan so it may not fit the quiet part...

The Abit AV8 3rd Eye or the Asus A8V-E SE are probably the ones to go for as they're both cooled by heat sinks.

You could then go for a 380W Tagan PSU and that leaves you with over £90 which'll definitely get you a nice case.

For PSU, I would choose a Tagan, probably with the highest rating I could get with the money left over.

I am upgrading. From a Zalman Reserator cooled SN41G2 / XP 2500+

For the socket 939 motherboard, you might want to go with the Asrock dual-sata2. You can use your current AGP card, and have the option of upgrading to a PCI-express card in the future. And it's pretty cheap too.

Yeh agreed on that one... may not be the most highly respected brand but it should do the job and it is less than £50. Dual graphics (you can use both AGP + PCIe at the same time, for multi monitor support) and it supports dual core S939 cpu's so you can't really go wrong for that price.

Thinking about one myself...

I saw that before posting, I like the idea but its not worth it really. I only play Worms & UT2004 really... both of which the 9700Pro handles fine. AGP is all I need.

Motherboards are pretty cheap but gfx cards arent so i know which id rather replace at this time!
