Graphic Tablets?! :|
Hey,
My sister is getting into art, and she wants to use photoshop with a graphic tablet. She's just starting off so she doesn't want to spend too much if she sucks.
So a budget of £60 for a graphic tablet, size isn't really an issue. Just one that is cheap and good. Kinda finding it hard to find reviews for them.
I've seen some like the ones on scan...
Nisis Easypen G3 USB Graphics Tablet (6" Active Area)
and
Trust Wireless Graphic Tablet 400
Does anyone have experience with them?
Thanks :)

I'm studying design at Uni and we all use the Trust 1200 Wireless Tablet. It should be in your budget and it's a big size. Not the best quality but perfectly adequate if you're not going to be using for extreme professional stuff.

The guys where I used to work who did all the web design stuff used Wacom tablets - should be decent quality, not sure on price tho

Don't bother with A6 size... too small by far. Wacom Classic XL is A5 size and £111 at Pixmania. Comparing the classic with an older more expensive intuos the pen is lighter and the working height of the pen over the surface is much closer. The wacom tablet mouse is utterly pants and a good quality optical/laser mouse is a must. Classic and studio without the 'XL' is too small. XL=A5 for the budget Wacom classic and studio tablets.
I think you will have to look at other brands like Trust for under £60.
The belkin nostromo game device is handy for mapping mouse buttons clicks and for keyboard macros. Pen tablets are fantastic for tracking and the primary click on the pen nib is great but the side rocker switch is not to my liking and there is no scroll wheel. These problems are solved with the nostromo.
Nostromo + pen tablet + laser mouse would be my recommendation for graphic design without repetative strain injuries in the long term.
