Question Best RAM make for NF7-S?

I remember a while ago reading that the NForce2 mobos were sorta picky with what ram they liked. Anyway i'm looking to upgrade my ram + cpu at the end of the month and didnt know what make of ram was best for my mobo (abit NF7-S V2).... any ideas?

I'm gonna get a 2500 barton and some 400ddr ram, they are both gonna be overclocked.

    TIA

Motion seconded; I don't OC heavily, but I have the same TwinMOS RAM running at PC2700 speeds (give or take ) and 6/2/2/2 timings. Stable and inexpensive.

Crucial are very good, no question, and I've used their memory in multiple machines, but certainly at Komplett TwinMOS 256MB PC3200 w/Winbond chips are several pounds per DIMM cheaper than the Crucial equivalent.

Yeah I bought most of my RAM from Crucial in the past but recently the seem a little behind in latency, o/c'ability and most crucially (he he) PRICE. IMHO go for TwinMOS from www.cpucity.co.uk or www.komplett.co.uk as said. Winbond (etc) is nicer but not truly worth paying extra for, PC3200 (DDR400) is certainly all you need in SktA. PC2700 is hardly any cheaper, MCUH better now to get true PC3200. I don't think nF2 are picky as such, just dislike crap generic RAM. Do rem that ALL mobos that were first to offer PC3200 did so unofficially before the JEDEC nod (and specs).

another thumbs up for Twinmos PC3200 w. Winbond.
Have 6 matched sticks (in series off the manufacturing line!) which I got from Komplett, all clock well and are more than enough for any athlon system. .

Another vote for TwinMOS here , Got it running nicely in a couple of systems I've built and it runs nicely above the quoted speeds

    TwinMOS:
    Ice Kay
    nichomach
    Austin
    Speedo
    Knoxville
    steve threlfall

    Crucial:
    Russ

Given it's currently 7 to 1 for the TwinMOS added to which it's also cheaper and offers lower latency it would seem the sensible choice. I can certainly say whose advice seems impartial and whose doesn't (but I won't).

    Corsair XMS3200 LL TWINX (2 x 256)

*REALLY*wish i'd gone for a gig of twinmoss tbh..

Russ's experience may be different to ours, and crucial used to be the best choice other than corsair. So he's not wrong at all.

No wrong or right here and it is good for people to be happy to offer an alternative opinion ... I just didn't care for the above response. FA Cup goes to Russ
