    Cheap Gaming Rig

I'm looking to upgrade my PC since its a few years old now. I have :

    Athlon XP 1900+
    768mb PC133
    Radeon 9200 Atlantis 256mb
    2 x 40gb EIDE HDD's

I've got my eye on a 6600gt or 6800 for a new graphics card and i've been looking for a mobile Barton 2500 for the processor but the cheapest I've found is £70. Does anyone know where I can get one for cheaper than that? I'm hoping to get the following but I'm having a hard time finding stuff I can afford.

    Barton 2500 mobile
    200gb hdd
    1gb ddr400
    6600gt / 6800 (AGP)
    no idea about motherboard

Has anyone got any recommendations or know where I can get any of this stuff cheaply?

    Thanks

You would be much better off getting a low-end A64 or S754 sempron.

yea... tbh, any 754 A64 above 3000+ will eat that barton 3200+ for breakfast..

Getting a 3700+ s754 should be pretty cheap.. its the most powerful chip u can get on a s754 mobo.. they go for about £130 quid on retail..

most newer 6800nu wont unlock, so its better to try ur luck on an AGP 6800GT instead.. they arent that much mroe expensive anyways.. could be had for £150 if u shop around..

1gb nowadays wont cut the mustard.. esp if ur planning to play FEAR.. got it this morning.. literally crucified my 1gb XMS... had to swap the 4 stick of micron from my game rig to run them smoothly. If ur willing, drop the remaining cash on 2 sticks of 1GB.. value ram or cas 2.5.. as long as u keep a divider.. u shudnt need to clock past stock.. its definitely worth it.. think lag-less FEAR tonight.. and come back to me with an answer.. ehehe
    Me want Ultrabook

it seems to be low on L2 cache but the gist seem to be its pretty good and no far behind the Athlon64 CPU's pretty interesting to look at
