Was I sold a duff MSI Neo2?

Hi,

I have this board running at stock everything, memory at SPD, everything stock. Yet when I reboot it sometimes, I get AWARD bios beep codes for memory issues? I even tried volting it up a little to compensate but its not having any of it.

To top it off, the 5:4 ram ratio locks the board up every time, again with everything at or below stock settings. I've checked the xtremeSystems thread and every other board could do so. I even replicated the settings and still nothing.

I have got the latest bios on the board, read a thread dedicated to the board, did all the recommendations it asked, nope, still cold start issues, no 5:4 ram ratio (even thou its a standard ratio).

Get it RMAd. Contact MSI UK Support by email, they'll take care of it, if your retailer wont (one will be cheaper!).

Always a safe bet, but beware, insist that any replacement is NEW cause otherwise it .. might not be....

Good news, the dividers work when HTT > 200... yes dont ask?!?

Its stable all the way upto 292mhz which is quite good.

Cold boot issue now disappeared too, although that might have something to do with the memory only running at 190mhz~.
