    Beefing up my pc

Not sure if this is in the right forum, but whatever.

I want to beef up my pc, and I'm just looking for recommendations as to what to "beef" and what products to buy.

    Specs:

With a GeForceMX 4 (has to be upgraded; card around £120), 80GB Hard Drive and a Realtek Ac97 sound card.

    Any recommendations?

    Hello btw

Not too familiar with eMachines, or how upgradable they are.

gfx - What do you use the PC for > gaming or just general messin' about? I'm guessing your mobo is AGP, so an nVidia 6600GT is within your price spec.

Consider taking your RAM to the 1GB mark.

I like HGST drives, but asking for a HDD recomendation is gonna get you sooooo many different opinions. When it comes to sound cards, I'm afraid I'm about as much help as a chocolate tea cup. Always used onboard.

Well I can chip in with a soundcard reccomendation: Sound Blaster Audigy ZS OEM is a great card -crisp clear sound, great surround, THX and EAX 4.0 support for games Plus it won't break the bank

As for the rest - 1gb or more for the RAM (if you can ) and if you game something like an AGP 6800GT??
