Question Slot loading DVD problems (Help)

I've just got my new HTPC together and I'm having trouble with the Pioneer slot load DVD writer. Basically all that happens is that a moment after the disk is inserted it comes back out. I've had a quick google around the net and theres no mention of this. Do I have a faulty drive or am I doing something wrong?

I have tried the drive with both the IDE cable connected and disconnected (via the adaptor included with my case). Neither make any difference.

I also had this problem. one of the screws is too long - no really - take out the one at the back right - and leave it out.

let me know if it solves your problem.

Believe it or not I think its working now... I have removed the screws from one side so I think the mount was bending the drive and causing problems. I'm doing some more testing to make sure its working so hopefully it will be ok.
