    Twin Montier Laptops

Are there any laptops that have twin-head graphics cards?
    - I know a lot of them allow a extrernal monters to be pluged in, but im not a laptop guy, so ive never know if these are true twin-head or not?
    - Also, i know some laptops have VIVO ports, can any of these produce videoout thats diffrent to whats displayed on the laptops screen? (ie to use a tv as a second screen)

The reason i ask is that im a member of an RC car club, and there laptimeing software allows you to have a second screen displaying just the laptimes, in a large 'easyveiw' format such as you might display in the pit area or whatever.

However the PC also has to be portable (laptop) to it can be taken home to be set up for the next nights racing (upto 5nights a week) so even a relativly small desktop would be a bit of pain!

However, it doent have to be a fantasitc pc, the recomended specs are:
100Mhz or faster CPU (200Mhz recommended).
    24Mb of RAM.
    10Mb of hard disk space.
    Soundcard (for voice output).
    CD-ROM drive. (optional)
    Win 98, ME, NT4, 2000 or XP.

And the 'Spectator disply' is only 640*480

Just wondering if there was such a thing as a two haed graphics laptop?
    - otherwise i guess we could invest in a USB VGA addapter!

    thanks guys

virtually every laptop lets you have multipule display mode with internal TFT + External.

but as you want portible, don't need high res, i'd think about using a portable flatscreen TV via TV out. As that should also work.

But if you had a TFT plugged into the laptop, you should be able to span accross it on almost every laptop since dual graphics cards were introduced (about 8 years ago).

Ok, so basicaly every laptop should be ok. thats cool.

The second ('spectator') display doesnt have to be portable as that will just be left in the club all the time, its just the laptop that need to be taken home.

Hell, even my 8-year old Tecra 8000 can output two separate/identical images.

pretty much yes, since windows 95 osr 2, or 98, i honestly can't remeber when dual VDUs came out, because it wasn't until '99 i got my dual head card

    seams so long ago.
