New Hard Drive Question

Hi chaps!

I'm thinking of upgrading my current Hard Drive to SATA or SATA II.

Here are my options.

250Gb Western Digital WD2500KS Caviar SE16 (7200rpm,16Mb) - SATA II Lead Free

250Gb Maxtor Maxline III 24x7 Reliability (7200rpm,16MB) SATA II NCQ - Lead Free

250GB Samsung SpinPoint P120S (SP2504C) 7200rpm, 8MB, SATA II Fluid Dynamic Bearings, 25dBA

74Gb Western Digital Raptor Enterprise (10Krpm,8MB) - SATA

Now i know the Samsung came out pretty good in a review loading Far Cry levels quicker than the WD Raptor.......but........as the Maxtor Maxline and Western Digital WD2500ks have 16mb cache and are SATA II are they quicker than the Raptor. Again the Raptor has 10k rpm...............

I have pleanty of space on other drives so i dont really need a massive amount of space, its just for my OS and programs. I'm looking for speed/performace and reliability.

I wouldnt choose the raptor, it's not very economic. Seen somewhere that SATAII speed is comparable to that of the raptor.
