Another PSU question Tagan or Seasonic

Looking at either:

430W Tagan 2 Force U22
430W Tagan Easycon U15
430W Seasonic S12

I have the following to power:
Antec SLK3000
Venice 3000/3200 (need to get yet)
6600GT card (need to get yet)
Asus A8N SLI Board
2940U2 Card
2XSCSI 15000RPM Drives
1XSata2 Drive
2xOptical Drives - DVD Rom & DVD Writer
Floppy
Fans

Doubt I will go SLI way (unless I get a good deal on dual 6600GT's), so thats the lot.. PSU being quiet is important.
No tooo fussed about it being modular (just a nice thing to have).

If you read CustomPC's last issue, the Seasonic PSU's won both the High end and mid-range awards.

Unfortunately CustomPC were giving away several Seasonic PSUs at the same time, which is unfortunate.

Not that I don't think Seasonic PSUs are very good, but the Tagans are OK for most people and cost somewhat less. Also there are no modular Seasonic PSUs, which is a shame.

Hiper 480/580 have had good reviews (and come in a really nifty box) and the new modular Enermaxes have had a couple of good write-ups. Fortron and Akasa are other names that could be in your frame.

Uhm i not quite sure if 430W if enuf, if it's peak load then continuous rating is around 380-390 W ? enuf ?

You've named quite a few makes there... This is gonna get confusing if I start looking at other makes .. I thought I'd got it narrowed down to these 2 from reading the forum... I may be wrong.

Its the exact same query I have. I think u might wish to bump up to 480w just to be sure. I havent seen a bad review of the Seasonic PSU's and the 600w normally wins any review its in. I think u would be more than happy with either of them to be honest bit like choose a Porsche or a Ferrari, Enermax do some good PSU' but ive not been looking at them to closely, I would avoid Hiper had some bad reviews on here and this link shows why. Cheers some very useful links.... coming up at 402 recommended min Watts...looking at this I might just go for the 480W Tagans... 500W Seasonic is out of my price range (Why the big price jump between the 430W-£58 and 500W-£84)

Damn... nearly conviced myself that I could do no wrong with the 430W Seasonic. looks like 480W Tagan 2 Force or EasyCon.. hmmm...

scan had them at 70 odd quid the other week, i was all geared up 2 buy one and then they got new stock of them in and the price had gone up to £90. I havent been able to find then cheaper as of yet tho im just looking at the power needs of a 7800gt and its maybe good i dident get one

Personally, i'm very happy with my Tagan.. and i've been through a lotta psu's (not tried a Seasonic yet though, but I should be recieving 2 600w's tomorrow).. Tagan gets my vote on this.. for now anywayz
