    Urgent Case Choice Help Required

I'm about to build my first system (with a mate's help) and having spent ages getting the spec right went to place my order with Scan only to discover that they're no longer stocking the case I decided upon - Coolermaster Centurion 530 due to the number of returns they were getting.

So I need some input on alternatives ( I chose the above case due to some good reviews) looking for a black case ( so I don't have to respec all the DVD drives etc) with a 120mm fan, understated looks, no PSU (I'm going for a Tagan on the basis of the help from this forum) and preferably from Scan to take advantage of the free p&p but not essential. Oh and budget up to about £40.

Looking to place order tonight or tomorrow morning hence urgency

Used one of the Antecs ^^, they are great to work in, simple as you like but with the time saving features. Well ventilated when the fans installed, relatively quiet aswell.

    Another vote for the antec.

I have the slk3000b and it's got very good ventilation and as with most cases that take 120mm fans with the right fans is very quiet.

Looks plain I agree but that's what I was after. Depends how 'understated' you want, everyone has a different notion of what that means to them.

By the way it has a door and some people absolutely hate them. I bought it thinking I would just remove it immediatley but found I got used to it very quickly and it didn't bother me.

Go for the Centurion 5 or better still, the Chenbro gaming bomb. Its black and well built. I have 2 of these and I really like them. The gaming bomb is also under £30 from scan.

Another vote for the Antec - not the best quality around but very spacious and has 2x120mm fan mounts. Also very quiet (check out reviews on silentpcreview.com).

I stuck on cheap vinyl floor mats to the case and its whisper quiet now with zero resonance. Only whoosing of air through the system and a faint sound from HS.

I did have an Antec Sonata which I thought was a pretty good case, nice hard drive mounts with rubber to stop vibration noise, a couple 120mm fan mounts, but wasn't a big fan of the door, just sold it to a mate and replaced it with a TJ06, much bigger but very nice. Another mate of mine has a gaming bomb and it's a pretty solid case, he managed to squeeze watercooling into somehow as well, lost the use of the top 2 5.25" bays though.
