    Pentium M overclocking and motherboard

Having seen people talk about how good oververclock can be acheived with pentium M chips i was interested in getting one, can anyone advise me how good they actually are compared to the 939 processors around at the moment and also what motherboards that work with them are good [and where i can get them from]

The best thread I have read regarding pro-cons and board type/config can be read at XS.

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=62366

I can say they are fast, very fast.

The board of choice is the P4C800-ed + Ct-479 , its the fastest and has one of the best direct supports for the Dothans.

But the Cheaper boards and the older 100mhz CPU's (pentium-m or Celeron-m)can make a great little combo cheaply if you don't want to spend a fortune.

The best boards are the Asus ones with the CT479 adapter.

Read through that XS thread mentioned, and also here

Scan, CPU City, and Kustompcs sell the CT479.

Many sites carry the chips but you can get a good price on eBay with a little patience.

Boards - Kustompcs, eBay, CPU city

I don't know how they compare with other chips but you'll find loads of results on XS and OCForums.

I had a pentium M clocked to 2.5gz and it was super fast pretty much FX55 speeds but remember its not 64 bit. I sold it to go A64 Dual core.
