    Question Shuttle ST61GV connection with 5.1 Home Theater Amplifier

    Hi Guys,

    I just built an HTPC around a Shuttle ST61GV. I want to connect it to my 5.1 Home Theater System however I have a slight problem. My Home Theater System doesn't come with SPDIF input. Can I use the Speaker Out Jack to send the sound output to my Home Theater which in turn will make the 5.1 surround sound decoding? I tried this out but I only had 2 of 5 speakers actually working.

    Help me please!!!

    Have you got a coax input? if so you jus need a converter, Maplin stock em.

    No there's no coax input, just phono sockets.
