    Webcam

I know this might be a stupid question, but whats the diffrence between a cheap webcam and a flashy expensive one? - Just for use via MSN really.

For the last 5years ive been using an old 'veiwquest' camera i got with a 'time' pc. but recently ive got a TFT montier (uni) and it doesnt fit ontop at all, so i was looking at geting another.

Most likely it'll be the capture size for still & video. A cheap one will do 640x480 still and 320x240 video, whereas an expensive one will do 1024x768 or upwards still and 640x480 video.

I guess it depends how well you want others to see you. Logitech quickcam 4000's are nice, and about £35-£40

For decent webcam conversations, you need about 30fps, and most of the cheap ones don't manage this

So the camera does acutually make a diffrence even on MSN convos?
    - Al always though it was mainly just the crapy transfer rate and high compression used, as it always seam better with people on faster internet conections etc.
