I was running 2000xp tbred on an old iwill xp333r mobo and just tried 2 different 2400xp tbreds and no post at all on either chip, everything else powers up etc but no visuals.
is there any reason why a 2400xp wouldent work over a 2000xp even though there both tbreds?
cant even get visuals to get into the bios![]()

If anyone needs to familiarise themselves with the mobo, here it is.
The ALI KO266 was never well known nor widely used but had the divider for 400FSB which is amazing for a mobo of its heritige. Should be a prime candidate for o/c'ing, tested in the review with 333FSB so great to transform Tbreds or maybe even run Barton.
Try to find Iwill's site and look for CPU compatiblity as well as any BIOS or driver updates. It could be the mobo doesn't like the 5bit FID high multiplier (15x) or the CPU speed of 2.0ghz. It could be your mobo or PSU can't provide correct power reqs for XP2400+ or maybe your older XP was either TbredA (XP2400+ will definitely be TbredB) or was simply a Pally? You could try setting the BIOS to safe defaults and then insert the XP2400+ but I doubt it will help. Is your HSF up to it? Shouldn't matter anyway but food for thought.
Since you have 333FSB ability and a divider for 400FSB I'd suggest trying a TbredB or even Barton in there, just pay attention to the stock multiplier as the speed it's rated to run at is largely irrelevant. If you can adjust the multiplier (likely 12.5x max) then the stock multiplier doesn't matter BUT ensure it is no higher than 12.5x. Only other thing would be voltage, DUT3C TbredB come with 1.60v while all Barton use 1.65v which allow good o/c's if you lack voltage support. DLT3C TbredB use 1.50v so you need to up the voltage to o/c very far (ie > 2.0ghz). Any help?
