    new gaming computer £900

    I know there are 100s of other threads like this but i want others thoughts
    i will be using it for gaming suffing and study

    MSI K8N SLi Platinum NF4 DDDR400, PCI-E, Gbit Lan, USB2/1394, 7.1Ch Creative Audio, 4 x SATA2, Raid. is this a good choice. it seems to have good reveiws. i was going to get an abit a8n altra but then i read that they had overclocking issues, any otheer mb recomendations?

    17" Hyundai ImageQuest B70A Black/Silver TFT Monitor - 8ms 1280x1024
    am not sure which monitor to get. Is it realy worth getting the 19" one

    mention overclocking and people are going to scream DFI at you.
    CPU is fine - may want to see if u can find an Opteron with 1mb cache for more OC performance
    Burner is fine
    If its a games machine u may want a better gpu, the Leadtek card is good no doubt about it but what kinda performance do u want in games? Can you stretch to maybe an ATI x800 series? Maybe give u a bit more bang for buck
    If you get a 19" monitor and u want to game at those high resolutions ull will deffo want a better graphics cardm most people would find 17" acceptable unless u want a home cinema system type PC then get that, tho its down to what u like obviosuley

    Agreed, maybe get a X800GTO for the same price as the 6600GT but offering better performance?

    In order to get a better gpu it may be worth buying a cheaper processor, as you are planning on getting a 3500+ it doesnt have a great amount of headroom to overclock into, so you could save money and go with a 3200+ or an opteron 146 saving the money and probably getting about the same speeds after overclocking
