    best silent pci-e graphics card?

I'm currently building a htpc/gaming to go under my tv. At the moment it will have on board video from nvidias new 6150/430 motherboards.

Anyone recommend a decent pci-e silent graphics card, doesn't have to be top of the line, that i can add - i want it to most new games to a good standard.

    thanks

You can get passivy cooler 6600gt's which are a pretty good card. Mines inaudable over other fans in my case, with the zalman cooler i have on it atm, (look at my spec) and i can still put on a bit of a beast OC. There are quite a few models of this card that come with totaly passive cooling pre isntalled. But you will need goodish case airflow for any passivly cooler componets.

    Cheers Trippledence,

I'm planning to put it in a Silverstone LC11-m case which is supposed to have good airflow qualities. I'll look at how expensive the passive 6600gt's are...

i'd disagree with that. i had an LC-11, and had to bin it for a large number of reasons (the riser modules don't work, airflow is bad, fan positions block SATA disks, the awful mobo mounts cause shorting)
