I've got 1 of those, and gotta agree
Well I've got the 518 non-wireless, and it is a damned fine rodent.
My only experience with wireless was with the original Microsoft Intellimouse back in the dark ages and that, quite frankly, put me off cable-free lag ridden gaming for life.. I'm sure the MX1000 is different in that regard, but I'll still with my wires for now...

cant tell a difference myself, i love mine, and the recharging dock thing saves a few bob (and hassle) in batteries...
Thumbs up.
Been using one for a year and tbh can't tell the difference if I swap back to a wired intellimouse.

I like my Razer Diamondback. It's a gaming mouse, if you haven't seen it check it out, very nice stuff.
I must admit, it was a toss up between this and the MX1000, but the Diamondback won in the end due to its sleek looks. High recommended along with the exactmat.

Well I will put it like this - I was using a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer WIRED (not the newest one, but pretty modern) and I bought the MX1000 during this summer, and the difference was massive. Well I've got 1680x1050 pixels to move across so I found it so fluid and responsive. If you really do recognise some kind of lag with the MX1000, you either have some kind of old revision or something, wireless interference or god/ninja senses.Originally Posted by DeludedGuy
MX1000 is the best all rounder, but its too heavy to be considered a gaming mouse.
ATM, probably the G5
Well the G7 is a gaming mouse and wireless, but it cost an arm and a leg though.
Primary kit:
Fuji S5 Pro - Nikkor AF 50/1.8 - Nikkor AF 85/1.8
Epson RD-1
Film Kit:
Leica M3 - Summicron 50/2 DR - Zeiss ZM 25/2.8 - M-Rokkor 40/2
Olympus OM2n - Zuiko 50/2 Macro - Zuiko 50/1.4 - Zuiko 35/2.8
Yeah but the G7 will(possibly) suffer the same problem as the MX1000.
Its very heavy with the batteries, and makes it difficult for quick precission movements of the crosshair.
Although I will wait till see before I condem it.
Ok, I read some reviews on the G7, they say it comes out top, and a little better than the MX1000.
It weighs a lot less than the MX1000, becuase of the type of battery it uses. All the reviews I read say that the G7 is just as fast as a wired mouse, there is no lagg, ever.
Cheapest I seen the G7 for is £56, anyone know where I can get it cheaper?
try bribing it with cheese...
