    Worth upgrading? + Price Check...

    Alright guys, I'm wondering if it's time to upgrade again.

    My specs are in sig, but basically I thought of the following swaps:

    3500+ -> 4800X2 (or something similar)
    6800GT -> 7800GTX

    Then add in another 200gb HDD, and get a 7.1 soundcard. Possibly change the RAM for 2gbs.

    What do you think? Is this worthwhile? I would be intending to overclock whatever CPU I get.

    Any recommendations etc?

    Also, how much would I get for my 6800gt (XFX) and my 3500?

    Obviously this would increase performance a hell of a lot, but is it really worth the £800 it would cost? I don't know.

    You could get about £130 for your CPU on ebay, probably about the same for your 6800.

    Its worthwhile if you have some seriouslty resource intensive applications that won't run without the upgrade. Video processing and/or editing is one that springs to mind, or very complex mathematics (factorising large prime numbers,,,)

    What about replacing the 3500 with a 4400X2 I can get for £300?
