KM266 with 8235 south. 200 & 266FSB (so nothing higher than XP2400+ really). 4xAGP, ATA133, USB2, 2xDDR RAM and VERY basic onboard gfx (but you can upgrade via AGP slot). Pretty old stuff really, AFAIK essentially just a KT266/266A with onboard gfx. Unless it's a total bargain or your needs are very small look a notch higher. Dabs were (or are) doing a Single Channel nForce2 for £40 which is awsome value and infinitely better.
would you be talking about this 1?

nope, thats nforce1 chipset...
i think he meant either this:

or this:

Yep, unless I'm very much mistaken that's the Biostar nForce2 400, if you want to check out further details. It surely lacks nVidia's full audio implimentation and certainly lacks the Dual Channel as found in the original nForce2 & 'Ultra400', that knocks perf around 5%. However you're still as fast as the top VIA KT600 and SiS748. Not only that but you benefit from certified 400FSB and locked AGP/PCI, should be great for o/c'ing. It should offer multiplier and voltage controls, if not simply choose the CPU more carefully.

If you skimp on the mobo, every singly time your system pauses for breath [dvd writer going for it, you flick back to the minimised web browser 5 hours later etc] you are going to wonder if dual channel would have saved you > 5% time.
I've not had the chance to test recent intel chipsets, KT600 or NF2 single channel etc, but the KT233a, 333 and KT 400 boards Ive used have all seriously sucked compared to either of my NF2's.
Sure, they have given reasonable enough 3Dmark 2001 benches [and virtually identical 2003 gfx benches, sandra benches etc] but pale in real life multitasking use.
