The G15 rocks, tis that simple.

I dont really use the macro keys that much (excpet long message to people that I have to type everyday, type them in once, save them to one of the G Keys and hey presto, done!)

I haven't found a way to get it to display stats for CS:S yet but I do have it linked up to MBM5 so I have all my temps and usage stats, the applet I use for that also lets you use teamspeak, although I dont use that at the moment either.

It feels nice to use too, the lighting is good and the keys feel good too, not as heavy as some keyboards I've used. Just make sure you have enough space though, it is BIG, you've got about another 3-4 inches on the side of it compared to other keyboards, and it can also throw you off a bit as when i first got it I wasn't used to the extra buttons on the one side so my left hand kept going to the edge of the keyboard, although after a while you get used to it.

Apart from that its a top keyboard, realy is fantastic. I can't reccomend it enough.

If I remembver correctly (not at home with the G15 at the moment) there is a circular button just under the LCD screen, if you press that you cycle through the applets running at that time, and then press the third soft button under the LCD and you switch to that applet.

I think you can set it to scroll through the applets that are running at the time automatically, although I have that switched off.

I bought one this week, it's now re-boxed waiting to go back to Scan.

It's not that it's bad as a keyboard, but it has so many software and hardware bugs that the only way you are guaranteed to have trouble free use of it is if you've just installed windows and it's the first keyboard you use.

I've been using a MS keyboard, and it just doesn't work. It even causes BSODs!

I can't say I'd recommend it, but it seems like a nice keyboard, if a little large, and the screen is nice too.

I never knew such a keyboard as this existed.

Looks like ill purchase one as i love the ideas it introduces into keyboards.

Hopefully i dont get any of the hardware/software bugs youve come across Silent Shark.
What bugs exactly did you come across?

Needs new monitor / speakers / headphones / keyboard.
Before that i need money :s

Well, basically the story went like this.

    - Bought keyboard (and a MX518 mouse at the same time).
    - Uninstalled Intellitype (and Intellipoint for the mouse).
    - Restarted comp.
    - Installed Logitech software.
    - Turned off PC, plugged in G15 and MX518, turned PC on.
    - Windows got to login screen, couldn't type in log in name. Keys didn't respond.
    - Unplugged and re-plugged in keyboard. Worked, logged in, happy computing for several hours.
    - Re-started comp (new game installed).
    - Keyboard again wouldn't let me log in. Re-plugging didn't work this time.
    - Plugged in my old keyboard simultaneously. Logged in.
    - G15 still didn't work.
    - Went on internet and found some people who had this problem. They both ended up reinstalling Windows. (One guy also re-plugged in his kybd like me, and he found as long as you kept changing the USB port it would work. He eventually ran out of ports though).
    - Re-installed Logitech software and re-started PC.
    - Couldn't log in, used old keyboard.
    - Got BSOD after a few minutes and computer reset itself.
    - Used sys restore to go back a few days, reinstalled Logitech software.
    - Still couldn't log in, and got BSODs whenever I did log in using old keyboard.
    - Gave up and used sys restore to go back to my old keyboard. The MX518 works though.

Turns out from forums that there are issues with the drivers/software if there are other keyboard drivers/software around, even if there are only traces. Only known way to fix is to have a clean Windows, which I'm not going to do just for a keyboard!

I'm off back to Scan on sat and swapping for a Saitek Eclipse. Shame really as the keyboard seems nice, and I'm a C programmer, so I could have written some useful apps for the LCD.

    Silent Shark,

Really not a good time with the keyboard then?

It was the third keyboard I used since the last install and installed it the same day as my MX1000 and Sound Card (got to love xmas) and not had a single problem with it (with the exception that the rubberized outer edges attract finger prints like I dont know what).

I would still say get it, I was going for the eclipse until Scan didn't have them instock so I opted for this.

Touch wood - no problems yet... although the UT2004 plugin I tried seems a bit sluggish at updating...
