CPU Coller for Athlon 2000xp

Hi all could some one please recomend a good cooler with the Thermal compound already applied for an Athlon 2000xp, it's been a while since i built anything and i seem to be out of touch with things and thats putting it mildly thanks, in advance cheers all

Erm with the thermal paste already applied? It will be cack paste usually, but the akasa coolers arent bad. Otherwise if your not afraid of learing to apply thermal compound a really good socket a cooler is the thermalright SI-97 that will take a 80 or 92 mm fan - so is nice and quiet - especially on a 2000+

I used to have that CPU and had a Coolermaster HHC-L61 on it, was one of the first heat pipe coolers, was very quiet even though it only had a 60mm fan. I only sold it 2 weeks ago.

Yea the SI-97 has the heatpipe design. Way bigger than most standard coolers though, so make sure you've enough room in your case - it will not fit in a shuttle
