Any ideas whether it would be worth getting an opteron 144 or an athlon 64 3500?
The Operton 144 if you can get hold of one with the right steppings and you plan on overclocking. That means a good motherboard, decent cooling and preferably overclocking RAM.
If you're leaving your CPU at stock, go for the 3500+.
was not too sure about the rest of the stuff was going to upgrade in stages using the asrock board.
i was wondering how the 3500 overclocks compared to the 144?
Depends what the steppings are for the 144 you get, if you wanna go safe, get the 3500+. :)
