Buying an Athlon 64 3000 (754 - on a budget), for an ASUS K8N mobo. There may be a degree of overclocking involved, but nothing dramatic. 10% maybe.
Want some advice on a decent CPU fan, as it's an OEM CPU i bought. I have previously gone with Zalmans for my P4, but anyone got experience? My budget is approx £15 to £20 but if something is dramatically better above that let me know.

with 10% you don't need anything apart from the stock cooler. Anything less than 25% O/C won't need a good cooler IMO.
I don't have a stock cooler.
I need to buy an aftermarket one.
Quietness is desirable - i have gone in the end with a Gigabyte GH PCU22-SE from scan, because of
1) the free delivery (not used it before, giving it a try)
2) you can lower the speed for quietness, and i figure that an Athlon 3000 shouldn't need big cooling
3) Going to try Gigabyte for the hell of it. Will know next time whether it was a good buy or not.
Will let you know, probably going to be building the new machine later this week.
