Abit A8N vs Asus A8n premium

I am planning an upgrade to pcie and have two potentials for the motherboard, one is the abit a8n sli the other is the asus a8n premium.

personally i think that the abit is better value for money but I would like to know what other people think.

Abit's is AN8 not A8N ...

Abit ~£90 Asus~£115 hard not to see the Abit as better vfm.

Yes, but, it's not really a fair comparison. The ASUS has quite a lot more in the package, including 2x Gb LANs, 2x SATA controllers, 10x USB ports, 2x IEEE 1394. If you just want the heatpipe then get the ABit.

Unless your wall socket or router doesnt take your extra laptop, there is really no reason for an extra LAN slot.

4 SATA is already plenty for a normal system. You could run almost every type of RAID be it 1,0,0+1,5 for that matter with 4 SATA..

Unless you have a cousin at home who wants to online but no socket, or u have so many laptops or file servers that you overloaded that 10 port router. You could save that £30 for a good nite out in the pub..

I've always been a fan of Abit in the past but lately I've started to like DFI.

i had the asus a8n premiuim it sucked same setup as current rig just different mobo with 20fps less

Best Overclocker is DFI. Best package is Asus. But the Abit isn't bad and is a fair bit cheaper.
