    Beeps

What does one longer beep followed by a few (two? can't quite remember ) shorter beeps mean?

Just built a system, turned it on and the above beeps were produced, CPU fan wasnt spinning, quickly turned it off and plugged it in, everything spins up, case fans, CPU fan, GFX fan this time with no beeps but no display output?

Monitor is aware that the DVI cable is unplugged as it goes to self test when I do so, and back to standby when I plug it back in, but that maybe a feature im not aware of

Also, strangely, the PC turns on with the power switch, but holding it down while its off does nothing and I have to flick the PSU switch? Whats up with that? :/

Is there like a universal rule to what the sequence of beeps on the boot up of the motherboard are? Because maybe your motherboard (A8N Premium?) has its own unique meaning compared to my motherboad for example, the A7N8X Deluxe...

From memory it means a display adapter problem, but I'm not 100% sure, and I need advice on what to check anyway

It would have to be the most expensive part of the system causing the problem, wouldn't it
