Question Building my 1st SFF - Money is an issue :)

    Hi all,

I have a budget of around 500-600 quid...and I am planning to build a SFF system.

I am looking at either the sn41g2 or the sn45g

One of the things I will be using it for is video editing. Nothing major, but it is one of the main uses. Games of course, not too concerned about super high end play, but I am looking at something that will run Doom 3 respectably.

I need some pointers as to what components to buy...

    All suggestions greatly appreciated

    Ken

£600 = easy aslong as you don't need a monitor etc, i'd go wiuth the spec steve's got there but i'd go with 2 * 512 sticks of the ram he suggested as it'll be worth it for doom3

    Thanks guys.

Steve, unfortunately my credit card is under a restraining order due to prior abuses till next month - I saw the offers at microdirect and wanted to cry

I am probably putting the system together just before Christmas. I don't need a new keyboard, mouse or monitor but will probably get them anyway. Just for my shiny new system
