    What's your budget?

    If <£600 complete, I got my cousin a 939pin Abit Motherboard, 3200Mhz 64bit AMD processor, 512MB Corsair memory, ferrari enzo case, 200GB HDD, 17" TFT, DVD Dual layer burner and a Nvidia 6600GT0 PCI Express Graphics card.

    Fairly good price almost 11/2 months ago...
    Woohoo now Assistant Manager!

    • Thorsson's system
      • Motherboard:
      • ASUS P8Z77-V PRO
      • CPU:
      • i5 3570k
      • Memory:
      • 2x8Gb Corsair Vengeance PC1866
      • Storage:
      • 256M4 SSD; 2Tb 7200RPM Barracuda; 2Tb Linkstation
      • Graphics card(s):
      • EVGA GTX970 SC
      • PSU:
      • Corsair HX650
      • Case:
      • Antec 300
      • Operating System:
      • Win10 64
      • Monitor(s):
      • Dell 2515H
      • Internet:
      • Fibre Optic 30Mb
    939 mobo, non-SLi - DFI if you OC, ASUS if not (but plenty of other candidates).
    Dual Core AMDX2 to suit your budget.
    PCI-E GFX card (hard to be specific as "don't do hardcore gaming" suggests you do some - but which games?)
    2 x 1Gb Branded Memory, PC3200 or more if you OC.
    Decent PSU
    Seagate SATA disks offer probably the best deal at the moment due to 5 year warranty. Think about RAID.
    Rest depends on what you want, but I'd def suggest treating yourself to one of the newer Logitech Mice.

    Yes, but. If you get a new mobo it's likely to need a PCI Express GFX card - they don't have AGP. Of course you can still get AGP boards, but it's not really recommended.
