    Is noise level 34 - 44db(A) loud?

What is loud and what is not for a power supply?

Im not refering to u clubsport.. I was refering to the FSP representative *eyes roll*

But either ways, Nox made a pretty decent point.. I was just stoked to get FSP ppl here recommending PSUs.. even though their PSUs are almost second to none.

EDIT: To add to ur question, as long as you stick with respectable brands.. you can't really go wrong. I personally prefer Tagan above the rest as Enermax and ULTRA had both let me down before..

I've also heard good things about Seasonic, and Im sure there are plenty of ppl here who can vouch for both Tagan and Seasonic. I have 2 Tagan and they handle my overclocks rock solid. Well, at least until my 3500+ went RIP thanks to my clear-CMOS-during-powerup stunt...

    From best to worst:

PC Power and Cooling Turbo-Cool 510 Express
    Seasonic S12 600 watt
    Enermax 660
    SilverStone ST60F / Silverstone ST65ZF 650W
    OCZ 600 watt psu
    Thermaltake 680W PurePower power supply

The ones around the middle (Enermax through OCZ), I'm not so sure about, not read much on them.

As for the PC Power & Cooling, I have that very model and it's great. For example, the length of the cables is great for a case like the Stacker (I have the original CM Stacker). The only things I'd complain about is that there's only one PCI Express power connector (The PC P&C TurboCool 810 has two, if I'm not mistaken) and that, granted, its fan is a bit noisy. On the other hand, I'm able to sleep with it on without too much difficulty, so it's not that bad.

I just replaced my Thermaltake 480W with the 600W Seasonic.. Seasonic = very good quality but crap for cable management and length of cables IMHO.

Seasonics are good PSU's, they're very quiet, but nothing touches PC power and cooling for out and out power. They have a serious price premium but they're worth it.

You almost certainly dont need a 600W PSU though, the most powerfull systems only use about 350W, so as long as your PSU is actually giving the wattage it says a 480 would be easily enough for anything. I would suggest an Antec 480, as I've never met anyone who's had problems with Antec, and I consider them to be the best all round brand that exists, and reliable as the sun too. I doubt anyone will disagree, unlike many other brands.

I also wouldn't go for tagans, those 480 U01 ones, or whatever they're called, have awfull 3v/5v lines, I've encountered many people who've had serious problems with their PC becoming highly unstables because the 3v or 5v line just starts going all over the place.

I have checked on that and The "SLI" model has two PCI Express power connectors.
the Deluxe and Express has one from what I gather

Correct me if I am wrong

What does this mean EPS12V 8-pin connector? Is that important
    for the lastest motherboards?
plus does the pc power&cooling 510 support the BTX Motherboards?
    cheers

How about the Antec Truepower 2 550Watt? I'm looking hard at getting that. Any experience with that PSU?

Partly for its good reputation, and partly because its to go along with my Antec P180 case. The Antec P180 case has the power supply at the bottom of the case with the mobo at the top, which is the reverse of most other cases. And that requires a greater cable length for some of the cable runs. I presume an Antec case and Antec powersupply would be matched to each other (concerning the required cable lengths)? ??? Any experience with that?

Antec PSUs are no longer seen as top-notch. They've failed to pass some of the most stringent tests (big scale recent tests have been here, CustomPC and THG) and appear to be overpriced for their level of competence.

Back to the OP - PCP&C are generaly held to be one of the very best PSU suppliers, but they are very expensive and noisy. Seasonic are great quality and quiet. Neither of them has any "bling" however.

He means that said PSUs don't have any gold fan grills, flashing lights, or anything useless like that.

For reference, Antec is seriousely bad, after some 12 to 24months their PSU`S are failing due to bad and leaking caps in very unpleasant manner 8frying hw etc). If you doubth check badcaps.net forums. And i think this is very unpleasant considering the high price tag they sold the crap, missed some good caps for pennies. nothing something a reputable brand should do.
